The second day performance of PFDC L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week (PLBW) was quite dull but it took pace later and its performance on the 3rd day was superb.
Day three had few memorable moments as it was started by Nomi Ansari’s collection with demonstration of color combination while he was followed by timeless collection by Zara Shahjahan and in the end it was Ali Xeeshan who completed the show with a strong message. You can get the details of the day here below.

Nomi Ansari

Collection: Marjaan

Nomi Ansari is famously known for constantly changing color patterns while you can expect him to present a perfect collection when he starts his collection with a dull gold and striking cream groom and bridal wear. The ramp was brought on a dramatic account with the addition of beaded border of sleeves of the initial outfits. Later, Ansari’s signatured bridals were brought with shimmery embroidery and floral prints. The main item was the presentation by Amna Ilyas while there were churidar, ghararas and lehngas in this collection also. Due to perfect use of several colors, Ansari was given a standing ovation.

Zara Shahjahan

Collection: Mehrunisa

This beautiful collection by Zara Shahjahan was beautifully depicting the past. The bridal dresses were everlasting and graceful with gold fringe and tissue borders that remind us the bridal dresses of our mothers. The Pakistani traditional wedding was beautifully depicted by the addition of ‘motia’ around the hair of models. Grooms wear by Shahjahan was presented in white and cream colors that are well designed and beautiful to watch. All in all, it was a very lovely traditional collection after a long time.

Sonia Azhar

Collection: Hypnotism

Sonia Azhar really disappointed her fans with this collection that was rightly meant to sleep others. The only moment with the rise of audience was the occasion at the arrival of actor Ahsan Khan. The collection was presented with unattractive embellishments, huge ball gowns, capes and net dupattas. Before showing of another bridal collection, the designer needs to reconsider her fashion taste.

Collection: Damask

This brand presents only menswear and they usually perform well as it is expected from them. This tiem, the brand presented a huge range from blazers, jackets, kurtas, sherwanis and waistcoats but it was even then not up to mark. There wasn’t anything completely new while the last three blazers were having 3D embroidery. It wasn’t a bad collection by any means but there was a possibility to improve it further.

Muse

Collection: A Love like Ours

It was the first bridal showcase by Muse while ‘A Princess Bride’ was the inspiration behind this bridal collection. The three main colors in this collection were nude, red and navy. The collection was a complete signature of Muse as it was available with ghararas and churidars in dupion and organza fabric with several hemlines and shapes. But it was also clear that prêt wear really present the Muse’s signature outfits really perfectly. But this collection was suitable only for a modern bride due to the addition of metallic threads, pearls and sequins.

Ali Xeeshan

Collection: Khamooshi

In the end, the best collection of PLBW was presented by Ali Xeeshan. It started with inspiring fashion video of Amna Babar as bride with hair on her mouth. Few women, unaware of her misery, were surrounding her with wedding celebrations. A much older man is shown as a groom in the video. The collection ‘Khamoshi’ was organized in order to create awareness about child marriages in Pakistan. In this collection, there was a unified show of peplum cuts and layered angharka present with beautiful colors. Two most impressive dresses in the collection were layered green boxy shirt with shalwar along with white and black long dress.

The collection was also supported by Mahira Khan who walked on the ramp. Apart from that, waistcoats, prince coats and classic sherwanis were present in the six menswear dresses available in the collection.
