Lahore, Pakistan Fashion Design Council managed the second day of the 9th PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week with the collaboration of Sunsilk. On the 2nd day of the PFDC prêt a porter show, the leading fashion designers like Ali Xeeshan, Nomi Ansari, Nickie Nina, Sania Maskatiya, Karma Pink, Mahgul and Theater Studio.

The team of PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2016 comprised of HSY as the event producer and show choreographer while Nabila is the official stylist. Maheen Kardar Ali is the front stage management and PIFD student team has done backstage management.

Designer Showcases

Nomi Ansari

The fashion designer, Nomi Ansari has shown the prêt a porter collection on the day 2 of the fashion show with the title of ‘Joyride’ at the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2016. This collection is prepared by taking the inspiration from present and celebrates the vibrancy. The dresses of this fashion brand are prepared with silhouettes and the fabrics of luxurious satins, georgettes with prints and the chiffons are used with different fabric types and these prints are used with amalgamation of pop art and high fashion. This fashion designer has prepared the whole collection of the dresses in funky jackets, pants, vest and the intricate details of pop art elements. The fashion designer, Junaid Khan walked on the ramp as the brand celebrity.

Ali Xeeshan Theater Studio

The fashion designer label, Ali Xeeshan Theater Studio has showcased its complete collection of the dresses, ‘Voodoo’ in the segment of Luxury / Pret wear. The collection has derived its inspiration from lowest level of darkness to highest point of joy and the unconventional or metallic surface is embellished with the theme on the garments. In this collection, the complete range of menswear is prepared and the dresses are added with summer jackets, off the shoulder tops, and leg of mutton sleeves in this entire collection.

Sania Maskatiya showcased the signature geometrics with the features of fresh boldness. The new and latest collection of the dresses was shown in the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week, which is featured with contrasting multifaceted motifs taking from the stark to the sublime and her collection was titled as ‘Decorer’. The collection is added with lavish and rich hues and ornamentation. Sania Maskatiya made the partnership with Charles and Keith for the preparation of footwear and new collection is exhibited in the market and DJ Shah Munir has celebrated the mixing of the soundtrack.

The talented fashion designer, Mahgul has launched this collection of ‘The Indus Society’ under its brand, ORO and the concept of the collection shows the clan of imaginary women and these dresses are prepared with majestic style. The total collection is provided with embellishment by taking the inspiration from animal skins and the patterns and the study of the anatomy shows the heavy and attractive embroidery work and prints with the laser cut techniques. The dresses are included with animal prints and the resort wear to formal wear and they have introduced the accessories from top to toe and the clutches, sneakers and khusas give present look.

Nickie Nina

Nickie Nina showcased her collection in PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week collection and titled this collection as ‘FLECHAZO’ and she took the inspiration from the Metadora of Spain. In this collection, the dresses are prepared with the fabrics of raw silk, organza and it is added with constructive cuts styles with Spanish inspired 3 dimensional embellishments. The dresses are added with bright and pastel hues and the collection was combined with relaxed tops with the palazzos and culottes of different length pairs with the wraps. The model Mira Sethi walked on the ramp as the brand celebrity.

Karma Pink has launched the latest and unique collection of dresses of spring/summer 2016, which is titled as ‘Studio 54’. The fashion designer prepared the collection of sixteen women wear and it is prepared with diverse color palette from white to black and other attractive shades. The dresses are added with soft and muted backgrounds and the short and tailored with the highlights in the collection.
