From the business of internet and e-commerce to entertainment, which led you to move?
I’ve always been passionate about media and this is what brought me to making movies. I already have a number of productions for television in the U.S. and Indian markets. My love for my country brought me back, and the recent wave of Bollywood industry in world fascinated me. I already Bengali films, but this is our first Bollywood film. As a global business, I believe that one day Bollywood industry will take over Hollywood and India will dominate the global entertainment business.

From where does the story idea come to will to live?
Will to live is inspired by the true stories of the families suffering from the deadly disease. On a personal level too, I have experienced the pain of this disease closely. The helplessness of the people around the patient, the lack of treatment in spite of scientific progress, the frustrations and sometimes the strong will to do anything to find a solution. I decided to give hope to others suffering from this problem and dilemma. My motto in life is never to give up hope and will to live. They are the inspiration for the film.

Why did you bring the story to India?
In Indian culture only hope is eternal. In the west, everything is analyzed and it breaks the human emotional connectivity front. The idea behind the will to live is the eternal hope. It is in times of duress when the true character of man is seen by his courage and he shows his courage. OM will live Lalonde Father gives all power to fight adversity. Since we also have elements of Ayurveda, India is the natural destination. And last but not least, I am an Indian, so what else could my story!

There are also other joint ventures. What is unique about you?
This film is truly a collaborative effort, because the mix of engineers and star cast is perfect. Although I produce, I am an NRI and I have produced in Hollywood under the banner of my international business. In a certain way, to live is the first commercial film to come out of Hollywood as a Bollywood movie. With a joint effort between Hollywood and Bollywood is the first.

What about the music of the film? Bollywood films are known for their music.
Music of the film is beautiful. Bappi Lahiri has great Indian music. He has singers like Asha Bhosle, other voices of Sunidhi Chauhan, Kumar Sanu and Sharon Prabhakar. There is a great song sung by a top international singer. We just recorded a remix version by Sunidhi by Mamta. For the first time in India, have English and Hindi songs mixed together in an album of the will to live.

Who are the star cast of the film? Any known names from the Hindi film industry?
It stars Geoffrey Broderick, Anusha Singh, Erik Altemus, Arjun Chakraborty, Subhasis Mukherjee. And no, we have not bothered to take the established Bollywood actor. This movie did not require a name, because that story is. In fact, we recently shot a promotional music video, but we have only models. The video was shot by famous choreographer Longinus Fernandez Jai Ho but we do not need stars to perform. Next movie hardcore Bollywood film stars.

The film is in English only?
No will to live is in English and Hindi both. We are focused on the entire diaspora, because everyone needs hope in life. The message of eternal hope. In the will to live, a father fighting all the chance to save his only son to cancer. To do so, he went to India, to fight against the opposition, against the advice of his physician to, management of natural spice to his son and so on. In all this, the singular message is a message of hope. One should never lose hope.

Any other projects?
Yes we do. They are the mainstream Hindi cinema. We will make the proper announcement soon.
