Tony Muhammad Navaid Rashid

1. Tony, can you tell us about yourself?
Let me begin by saying that my parents radiated immense love for me, so much so that the glow of their heat remained unchanged over the years.

Their inspiration and support helped me to live my creative life. The academic side was not much of a burden and I sailed through the Masters in Business Administration with ease. My first love was photography course and I have fond memories of the camera gift from my mother gave me as a seven years old. Then he developed into a rage and as I go along I will dwell more on this subject.

2. When was the profession of journalist?
As a student I was able to some good writing ability and my teachers always liked what I wrote to show. The fascination of capturing in words was always there and when I got a chance to join DAWN, I was excited and was linked to their cultural wing for six years. It was a great experience and I got a chance to interact with showbiz people.

3. Your love for photography, how deep is it?
I ventured into photography very early in life. The colors of life always have a special charm in my life and the gift of God is visible in the depth of the photos by me. Whether it’s fashion or commercial products or even bridal shoots and campaigns, the effect is still under consideration.

4. Besides photography, you seem to have a love for singing?
Thank you for asking that question. Singing is a passion and I can share with you that I undergo a vocational qualification in this art. Rustam Fateh Ali Khan of the Patiala Gharana ‘was my teacher.

5. No special feature of your love for music?
In the earlier years, I have secured top positions in many amateur competitions. I also had the privilege of playing in front of the big Mahathir bin Mohamad of Malaysia. Songs I sang were the ones most popular in Malaysia, and I got invited.

6. If your success to a number of ‘Ustad’ or any other forum, which gives technical training?
The unfortunate part is that the ‘Ustad’ are reluctant to pass on the finer points of their art. As for me I had a thirst for knowledge and the desire to perform was very kind to me.
Fortunately for me, by nature, I was sharp, provocative and a go collect person could go around doing things on my own, setbacks did not bother me and after every set back, I started with a solemn mission to advance and the relocation effort had no bars.

7. Have you trained others?
I can not do formal, quite frankly I am still a student myself and learn.

8. Share with us some moments of your state of mind when you do a shoot, for example?
Whenever I am doing a shoot, I’m excited, the object for me is a huge untapped ocean waiting to be channeled into a view of surprise. And I respond by capturing the full depth using the power of creativity that oozes from me and combine it with technology. Things like camera apertures are used to lift the object heights through the ultimate camera to focus and capture the image.

9. Your association with the Nadia Khan Show, it’s been useful?
Nadia Khan is an artist who has a profound impact on people’s moods. Certainly she is a woman of vision and my presence at her show is heartwarming and led to the popularity dividends.

10. Any favorite hobbies and any photographer?
Oh! I’m in love with the Internet, browsing “nature” related sites is significantly added to knowledge issues.

As for as my favorite photographer, I would go in a particular name, Herbert Ritts is one American who is deceased, but his portraits wear the ‘miracle touch.

11. Leave a message for the newcomers and prospective in the field of show business, music and photography?
I personally care much for them and my advice to them, not arbitrarily, into a field. Be motivated, smart, and develop confidence and a higher level of thinking. Remember, each of us has an enormous reservoir of untapped potential for success, happiness, health and prosperity.
