Home Hair Cleanser:

Take a handful each of dried reetha, Amla and Shikakai. Dip them in one liter of water overnight. The next day, cook the spices over low heat until the water reduces by half. You should only wash your face twice a day with a medicated soap. After washing, wipe the oily areas with rose water mixed with an astringent lotion in equal quantities. Use this two or three times a day. Avoid using besan or multani mitti and some can clog pores and cause pimples, blackheads or whiteheads, especially in pimple-prone skin. Add a little turmeric to curd and apply daily on the face, wash thoroughly with water after 20 minutes. Add a few drops of rose water to sandalwood paste and apply on the forehead and areas with spots. Keep it on for at least one hour.



Dry skin:

If you wish to use soap, try a mild glycerine soap and see if it is suitable for your skin. You must keep your skin well hydrated throughout the day, or if you go in the sun, apply a sunscreen. At night use a nourishing cream and massage on the skin two to three minutes. Massage on the forehead, right from the bridge of the nose with both hands. Go upstairs and then an arc on either side, go to the temples. Wipe with damp cotton wool. Once daily, mix one teaspoon honey with egg white and apply on skin, wash off with plain water after 20 minutes.
